How to fix

Choose one of the following

  • Option #1: Tag your document in the authoring platform and re-create the PDF.
  • Option #2: Tools > Accessibility > Autotag Document
  • Option #3: Tools > Accessibility > Reading Order
  • Option #4: View > Show/Hide > Navigation Panes > Tags (You can tag your document manually).

Option #2

The image below shows you where the "Autotag Document" option is located. 


Option #3

The images below shows you where the "Reading Order" option can be accessed. It also displays the "Reading Order"dialog box that you can use to tag your content.

The "Reading Order" dialog box will display the page content in two different options. You can switch according to your preference.

The options available are as follows:

  1. Page content order - By selecting "Page Content Order" the tool will display the order in which the content will be displayed. For example: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. 
  2. Structure types - By selecting "Structure types," the tool will display the content with its respective tags. For example: H1, H2, P, Table etc.
