How do we make a PDF accessible

Tag your documents.

Along with tagging your document, it is very important to combine your tags with other accessibility aspects as listed below:

  • Primary Language of the document 

  • Meta Data

  • Font Size

  • Font Embedding

  • Colour Contrast

  • Bookmarks

Important

You can use the "Auto Tag" feature to automatically add tags to your PDF, but the result is never satisfactory without careful human inspection and corrective actions.
