Colour Contrast Analyser
- WCAG 2.0 Requirements:
- Level AA requires a contrast ratio of
- at least 4.5:1 for normal text
- 3:1 for large text
- at least 3:1 for graphics and user interface components (such as form input borders).
- Level AAA requires a contrast ratio of
- at least 7:1 for normal text and
- 4.5:1 for large text.
- Large text is defined as 14 point (typically 18.66px) and bold or larger, or 18 point (typically 24px) or larger.

- To manually review the colour contrast of your document, you can use the colour contrast tool to determine if the contrast ratio adheres to WCAG 2.0 Level AAA. We advice that you target a contrast level to meet Level AAA.
- Download Colour Contrast Analyser and install it on your Windows/Mac machine to perform a manual review.

Unless activated immediately with license info, JAWS will run in demo mode (requires that while using JAWS you reboot your computer every 40 minutes). Alert IT that your computer may need to be restarted before attempting to start JAWS to authenticate it with license info.
