Action Button

Use an action button to encourage a user to take a specific action to access a service or program. This design component is a blue button with a short phrase describing the linked transactional content, such as an application, a form or a survey.

Criteria

  • Can be used for a secondary action, where a primary Call-to-Action already exists.

  • Can be used when the action is secondary to other information.

  • More than one action button can be used where there are multiple primary actions.

  • Can appear anywhere on the page.

  • Button text must be concise, actionable, and written in title case; for example: Adopt a Pet, Complete a Survey or Submit an Application.
