EAR	Enterprise archive file
Environment Manager (EM)	Person responsible for tracking and applying Migration Packets in the various Maximo systems. Note: A different Environment Manager could be assigned to each Maximo environment. For example, the DEV EM could be a different person than the PROD EM.
FSS	Functional System Specifications
GIT	A distributed version-control system for tracking changes in source code during software development. It is designed for coordinating work among programmers, but it can be used to track changes in any set of files.
GitHub	A web-based hosting service used by EMA for source code version control using GIT. It provides access control and several collaboration features such as bug tracking, feature requests, task management, and wikis for every project.

MIF	Maximo Integration Framework
MxLoader	A third-party tool created by Bruno Portaluri (https://bportaluri.com/mxloader ). It is a Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet that allows developers to quickly and easily query and load data into IBM Maximo. It brings together the power of the Maximo Integration Framework and the flexibility of Excel allowing developers to quickly manipulate and import data into any Maximo system.
MXS	Files used for applying screen (or other application or presentation) changes in Maximo
OAR	One Address Repository
Packet	A unit of Maximo functionality that has been developed by EMA or the City.
