Bus Shelter Ad Campaign Scavenger Hunt!
From August 12th to September 10th, there will be approximately 100 bus shelter advertisements for the Finder Tool across the city of Toronto. Help us find our ads and win fun prizes!

This contest is run by the Human Services Integration Project, a project-partnership between Toronto Employment & Social Services, Toronto Children’s Services, and Shelter Support and Housing Administration.

As of August 12th, 2017, the Human Services Integration project will have ads in TTC bus shelters across Toronto. In total, there will be approximately 100 ads across the City, at various TTC stops.

We want to find our ads and spread the word about our new online tools, created to help both clients and staff. From August 12th to September 10th, submit your creative photos to the HSI project team, including the following text & closest intersection:
“The new toronto.ca/humanservices ad, at Bay & Bloor”
- Email photos to hsi@toronto.ca
- Twitter or Instagram photos with the hashtag #TOhumanservicesintegration

Human Services Integration Bus Shelter Scavenger Hunt – Rules
01: Eligibility
All City of Toronto staff are eligible to participate in this contest except immediate HSI project team members and contest judges.
02: Process
There are three opportunities to win:
- Most Creative Photo
- Judged and decided by a panel of our senior management teams (TCS/SSHA/TESS)
- Most Number of Bus Ads Found
- Judged by number of unique photos submitted, accompanied by closest intersection
- Honorable Mention
- Decided at judges discretion
The top photo in each category will be chosen as the winning photo. If there is a tie for most number of bus ads found, both individuals will receive prizes. If more than three individuals tie for most number of bus ads found, two names will be drawn from a hat to determine prize recipients.
03: How to Enter
Photos may be submitted beginning on August 15th, 2017 until September 10th, 2017 at 11:59pm, local Toronto time.
Submissions will be accepted using the following:
- Email photos to hsi@toronto.ca
- Twitter or Instagram photos with the hashtag #TOhumanservicesintegration
Winners' names and photographs may be published in promotional materials directly related to the contest and may be publicized in any other reasonable manner the City considers appropriate for the purposes of the contest.
The personal information is collected under the legal authority of City of Toronto Act, S.O. 2006, Chapter 11, Schedule A, s. 136 (c). The information will be used to contact you about your submission to the contest. 04: Copyright and Use of Photographs
The contestant must be the sole owner of all rights to the photos that the contestant submits.
Upon submission to the contest via email or social media, the contestant gives permission to the HSI Project to publish the image in:
- HSI Project printed, displayed and online materials
Beyond the above uses, the contestant will retain full rights and ownership of their photos.
The contestant will hold the City harmless from any infringement of any copyright or other intellectual property in any and all photos the contestant submits.
The photographs submitted to the Photo Contest are considered to be part of a public record as defined by section 27 of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

06: Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via email by September 30th, 2017. Prizes will be mailed via inter-office mail, unless contest winners arrange otherwise.
07: Additional Details
No prize substitutions will be made, save for the City’s right, at its sole discretion, to make an offer or prize substitution of equivalent value.
The City reserves the right, at its complete discretion, to cancel or modify the contest in the event that, in its opinion, the holding of the contest would be prevented for one reason or another, including a technical failure or breakdown, an unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other cause beyond the control of the City which would compromise the management, security, impartiality, integrity or smooth running of this contest.
This contest is null and void where prohibited by law. Any dispute regarding the organizing or conduct of this contest may be submitted to the Public Consultation Unit, Metro Hall 19th Floor, Toronto, ON, M5V 3C6.
The City is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transactions or network connections that affect the contest or your participation in it. Furthermore, the City is not responsible for: 1) lost, misdirected, misplaced, illegible, unintelligible, incomplete or late entries or 2) any act, failure to act, or delay regarding the transmitting or processing of entries. The City is also not responsible for any technical delays in submission emails, entries and/or uploads and updates.
The City reserves the right to disqualify any contestant that the City has reason to believe does not comply with the contest rules. If after the awarding of the contest prizes a contest winner is disqualified or determined to be ineligible, an alternate winner will be selected using the same judging process/criteria described above. Alternate winners are subject to all requirements set forth in these rules.
The City reserves the right to change or alter these rules for the purpose of accommodation in the submission of photo entries, and of participants in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
The City is entitled to interpret these rules as required and its decisions are final.

These contest rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the contest.
