The Human Services Integration project seeks to improve client experience in accessing and utilizing the three key income support programs (Ontario Works, Child Care Fee Subsidy, and Rent-Geared-to-Income) for all Torontonians. These income support programs serve many Torontonians with a variety of service needs



Summary

  • 115,700 households received Ontario Works & related benefits
    • That is approximately 200,000 individual clients
  • 100,500 households on the social housing wait list- a 8% increase from the previous year
    • That is approximately 187,000 individual clients
  • Approximately 30,000 families received a child care fee subsidy
    • That is almost 43,000 individual children
    • There are approximately 12,000 children waiting for a subsidy
