Icon Library

The main icon library is available at Icons (toronto.ca). If an icon is not available there, then icons from Font Awesome should be considered for inclusion in the library.

Best practice for icons for the web:

• Minimum or maximum sizes?

• Colours? Black?

• Icons must be recognizable

• Icons must be accompanied by text (is this true?)

• Guidance for Alt text….

• Icons should be avoided on buttons
