QuickMaps is a City-developed framework for displaying map information on http://Toronto.ca .

The reasons for using QuickMaps are:

  • A common user experience across all City pages increases familiarity

  • Tested for Digital Accessibility, meeting WCAG 2.0 AA standards

  • Supported by City frameworks, using open source Leaflet technology

  • Uses GCC infrastructure for data management and One Address Repository (OAR) for searching

Pages with a QuickMap should be full width, with minimal text or content as this can make navigating the map difficult and may push the map interface further down the page

This document highlights the features and options for QuickMaps. It is presented in the order the features appear on a typical QuickMap:

Webpage with a search bar, a large map with pins showing location, and a list of the locations that are on the map

  • No labels
