Block Quotes are used to visually highlight direct quotations with an attribution from people or documents, such as third-party testimonials, municipal code excerpts, or data from Statistics Canada.
Block Quotes Additional Criteria:
Should not include hyperlinks, additional colours, bolding, italics, bullet points or headings.
Must not be used as a section heading.
Should not duplicate information found elsewhere on the page – not to be used as a pull quote (for example, a quote from a newspaper article).
The quotations should be at the top.
The attribution should be at the bottom, begin with a dash and use small text format.
