Effective web content must be actionable, scannable, service-focused, citizen-centric and division-neutral.
When followed, these communication principles ensure content is easy to understand, find and use.
It is important for internal and external developers and content creators to review these principles prior to creating content.

Digital Services Intranet

The Digital Services hub is shared between the Digital Communications team and the Technology Services Digital Technology Services team to provide support, advice and guidance related to communicating on digital channels (toronto.ca and more) as well as helping make internal processes easier to navigate and understand.

City of Toronto Corporate Identity Program Manual

The Strategic Public & Employee Communications is responsible for the City of Toronto's image and brand as it relates to corporate identity. In October 2008, the City Manager approved the City of Toronto Identity Policy. The Policy provides an overall framework to guide the application of the City's Corporate Identity Program (CIP), and ensures a clear and consistent visual identity for the public to easily recognize and access City facilities, programs and services.
